Veola Coleman Missionary Society

President: Minister Sadie J. Thomas

Our mission is twofold: Inward Preparation/Christian Outreach. We prepare ourselves for missionary service through regular church attendance, through support of all church ministries, through regular fellowship, prayer, education and mission studies. We also prepare by networking with other local churches, as well as with other Baptist churches with similar missionary goals and objectives.

Our outreach includes evangelism, to bring souls to Christ, visits with the sick and infirmed, whether Union members or not, and personal witness of the good news of the Gospel by helping the needy and less fortunate, without regard for their race, creed, color, gender, or national origin. We also support the Lott Carey Foreign Mission Convention, whose 2004 goals include building a new generation of Christian leaders around the world through scholarships, fellowships, internships and travel grants for both U.S. and international students. Union’s support, coordinated by the Missionary Society, is both financial and in-kind.

Finally, we seek liberty and justice for all, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
